if u leave the picture to much time u can get some burn in with the plasma. IT will go away in some time but that could happen with videogames. IF you just watch movies like me…then PLASMA is the king.

  2. insonita55 says:

I have the 550…is just frigging awesome…but try to play movies with the fit in screen system so you dont have burn in the screen it does have the fix protecction but just be carefull also try to fit the screen without lines up and down or to the sides with old videos. After that PLASMA beats LCDs of today. Maybe LED LCDS of over 3K are a little better other than that any plasma is great specially on movies. If u just game go lcd just cos of the burnin problem.

  6. jordler says:

    lcd is trash

  7. lanstriker says:

Plasmas are cheaper, better in contrast and the quality of colors are also better as LCDs, and the new generation of plasma has lower wattage as the LCD TVs, yes its right.

look, a new plasma has 200-250 Watts … a LCD also
but a LCD has the whole time this wattage!
but a plasma has only the wattage when the screen is bright! … when the screen getting darker… the wattage are lower!!
you have never a constant maximum wattage!!

  8. bonnhew says:

movies.. Definitely plasma.. Gaming?.. everybody says LCDS are better for gaming..

  9. xDontFaintx says:

in the store the Plasme looks way better than the LCD but alot of people tells me the LCD is better…. which one should i get ? for gaming and movies.

  10. highwater03 says:

Is an LCD with 1080P or a plasma with 720P better?

I watch a lot of sports and play video games and watch movies.

  13. RPGcollector1980 says:

Just make sure you pour water on it for the first few weeks to break it in.

  14. TresignsMedia says:

I just bought one of these in the 50″.

Ive never owned a plasma. Are there any special power supplies or anything that I need?

  15. wildcat1559 says:

i have just purchased the b430 as well it dosent have the vga connection BUT i have a dvi to hdmi connection from my pc. overall its a fantastic tv!!

  16. HELPMEwithSWAG says:

    WOW, nice tv

  17. WSenkow says:

I have the PN42B430 which is the same except for fewer inputs. This is a great set AND a bargain. For those into calibration, the starting point of Movie Mode warm2 although proper for Blu-Ray viewing, DOES NOT TRANSLATE into correct, or enjoyable, Hi-Def TV viewing. For that mode, Standard cool, is your best starting point. I have spent months on this, but once you have it set it is a stunning picture.

  18. CanadaDude4 says:

I am getting it thanks for the review

  19. thatgoofball says:
